Service agreements, warranties, and policies for our HVAC customers.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HVAC services provided by Summit Heating & Air ("we," "us," or "our"), a Colorado-based heating and air conditioning company. By requesting, scheduling, or receiving services from us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
All HVAC services, including but not limited to heating repair, air conditioning installation, maintenance, ductwork, and emergency services, are provided subject to these Terms. Service agreements are formed when you request services and we confirm the appointment or begin work.
Our technicians will evaluate your HVAC system and recommend appropriate solutions based on their professional assessment. You authorize us to perform the services described in your estimate or work order. Any changes to the scope of work will be communicated and approved before proceeding.
We provide upfront, written estimates for all recommended services before work begins. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of assessment and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
While we strive for accuracy, unforeseen conditions may affect the final cost. If additional work is needed beyond the original estimate, we will inform you, explain the reason for the additional cost, and obtain your approval before proceeding.
All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and do not include applicable taxes unless specified.
Summit Heating & Air stands behind the quality of our workmanship. We offer a one-year labor warranty on all installations and major repairs. Manufacturer warranties on equipment vary by brand and product and are provided in addition to our labor warranty.
Warranties cover defects in workmanship under normal use and do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, natural disasters, or failure to perform recommended maintenance. Warranty claims must be submitted promptly and may require an on-site inspection.
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, particularly for after-hours or emergency service requests.
In the event of severe weather, unsafe working conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to reschedule appointments. We will make every effort to notify you promptly and offer the next available appointment.
Payment is due upon completion of services unless prior credit arrangements have been made. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. For larger projects, payment schedules may be established in advance.
We offer financing options for qualifying equipment purchases. Financing is subject to credit approval and governed by the terms of the financing agreement. Late payments may incur service charges as permitted by Colorado law.
Summit Heating & Air's liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, or personal inconvenience, except where prohibited by law.
Our technicians exercise care when working in your home or business. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, structural defects, or damage to personal property not directly caused by our negligence.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Boulder County, Colorado, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. By agreeing to these Terms, you waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against Summit Heating & Air.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at (833) 378-2513 or service@summitairhvac.com.
